February 2016

To me, February is - much like January - a month of rest and quiet, but it is also very much a month where I start to plan. On non-frosty days the birds outside have a completely different tune. A tune that sets things in motion inside me, I start to dream and imagine.

I am making lists of the flower and vegetable seeds I need to order, so they are ready for when I start to sow indoors in trays in the middle of March.

2016 will be the first season that Sigridsminde will be open for hosting wedding celebrations in collaboration with local wedding planner extraordinaire, Louise Moloney, and already quite a few dates have been booked. I am so looking forward to this new chapter in the story of our little farm, and most of spring will be spent clearing out the different construction areas and garden "rooms" on the property so everything looks lovely and only wild and messy in the romantic way.
